Positive behaviour for learning

18/08/2017

To promote positive learning environments and to encourage responsible behaviour in students, schools have a Responsible Behaviour Plan.  The plan includes the school’s expectations about behaviour and it also outlines a range of consequences for inappropriate behaviour.

The PBL Lesson Schedule is part of our school’s Responsible Behaviour Plan.  Every week we focus on one particular expectation.  This week we are looking at Be Safe and in particular focusing on “approved games only”.  Next week the focus will be on the expectation Be Responsible and in particular “be a role model.

Did you notice something new at our school?  We would like to say a huge thank you to Mr O’Keefe, Mr Westcott and the secondary students for working so hard to make over the garden area outside the school office.  Together they transformed the garden into a beautiful area to include raised timber garden edging with capping, creating new continuous seating for the students.  At the front of the garden there is new a sign structure and in the near future, this area will display which particular PBL expectation our school is focusing on for the week.
