. We aim to provide high quality education that makes a positive difference to the lives of all Queenslanders. We endeavour to equip young people for the future to enable them to contribute to a socially, economically and culturally vibrant society. We achieve this through the provision of an intellectually challenging learning environment with a range of academic and vocational education subjects. We have continued to provide a minimum of one week's work experience each year for students in Years 10, 11 and 12. At the request of some students we organise additional work experience during the school holidays. All students who undertook additional work experience in 2009 were offered apprenticeships. While this impacts on our apparent retention progression rate we regard it as a positive outcome as we are helping our students turn their dreams into reality.
